This knife has a 1/2 inch (12 mm) welded tip. The bottom 3 inches of the tip is protected with carbide. The narrow profile of the 1/2 inch (12 mm) tip creates very little soil disturbance and the vertical angle means this tip will throw less soil and pull out fewer rocks and roots.

To prevent damage to the tip driver 200-DRV-1030 should be used when installing this knife on the adapter.
