This Spoon™ opener is 2-1/4 inch (57 mm) wide. The 200-SPN-0200 is made from 1/4 inch (6 mm) material and the 200-SPN-0208 is made from 5/16 inch (8 mm) material. It is a very easy pulling opener and soil disturbance is moderately low if the working speed is kept at around 4-1/2 miles (7.25 km) per hour. A 2 inch (50 mm) seed spread can be expected behind this Spoon™ which allows for some nitrogen fertilizer to be placed with the seed. This is an economical seed opener for producers wanting to maintain a wider seed spread.
